Are You a Dawes Device Installer?

Or would you like to be?  We are currently setting up web pages on dawes-devices.com and 3barracing.com, to list our distributors and installers.  The purpose is to help our customers find shops that will perform their boost controller installation, as well as local distributors.  If you fit currently fit that description (or plan to), please email me at threebarracing@gmail.com and let me know to include your shop!  Please include:

the name of your business

the address (incl country)

phone number and email for customer contact

a link to your landing page (consider using a page that you can track with analytics, so you can see how many people we are sending)

your logo or trademark

...anything else you deem relevant, such as company history, mission statement, favorite beer, etc.

We'd also like to know if you are willing to assist with a boost controller that a customer purchased directly from us, or if you'd rather they purchase through your shop.  No preference is given in either case, I just want to make sure the customers know what to expect.  All businesses will be listed by the first letter in the business name.  Numbers and the letter "A" don't count, so you can't just call yourself "A1" Boost Controller Install Shop to get at the top ;-)

For the rest of you who don't have a business, but read this far, here is a discount code to share with your buddies.  Have them enter "10forMay" at checkout, to get 10% off their order, throughout the month of May.  If you need a new boost gauge or maybe want to set up a dual stage system, you too can use this code!

Thanks for the being a customer of 3 Bar Racing and Dawes Devices!

Regards,

Darren Dawes

Upgrade Springs for your Dawes Devices

Hello Customers,

Just a quick note to let you know that we now have heavy springs available for the Nissan Patrol and VAG Boost Controllers, at our web site (www.dawes-devices.com).

These are designed to replace the lighter springs shipped prior to November of last year. Although the original springs work as advertised, some customers desired a higher boost level, which meant stretching the spring.  If stretched too far, the life of the spring is reduced.  You can replace it with one of these springs to restore the boost controller and range of the controller.  It also increases the range of the boost controller, even if everything is already working great.

Installers: upgrade springs are a great opportunity to invite your customer back to the shop and show them that you are looking out for their interests.  One of our installers in Canada just had an "upgrade" day, where they invited customers in for a burger and a chance to look around at their new offerings, while they upgraded their springs.  Don't forget to clean out the valve body when you remove the old spring and ball.  A shot of brake cleaner does the trick.

If you are unsure which spring you have, it is easy to tell.  The original springs are grey in appearance and the new ones look chromed.  Also, you can squish the old style spring between the thumb and forefinger, but it is very hard to do this with the new ones.

Last, for those who read this far, we have a weekend discount code for anyone that wants to upgrade springs or even the whole boost controller (we have the New Mark II Hybrid available!) .  That code for 10% off, is "upgrademe".  It can be entered at checkout and is good on everything on the site, through Sunday.

Have a great weekend,

Darren Dawes

The Launch of the new Dawes Devices site, by 3 Bar Racing Inc.

To streamline the order process and to offer club, forum and distributor discounts, we are launching a new store!  Since our products are constantly referred to as "Dawes Devices", we are renaming the line of 3 Bar Racing Products, produced by us, as "Dawes Devices, by 3 Bar Racing Inc".  We used the Dawes Devices name for years, but when it came time to incorporate, we renamed the company to "3 Bar Racing Inc".  But, it appears that the cache of the Dawes Devices name would not die!  So, I am proud to introduce our latest product line, under the Dawes Devices name.

Note: due to some growing pains with the shop that machines part of the Dawes Device MK II Manual Boost Controller, it will not be available until late April.  Sign up below, to be notified when they are ready.  Thank you for your patience!

Stay Tuned,

Darren Dawes
